Demographic-Adjusted Z-Score Calculator Documentation
This site provides comprehensive guidance for using the demographic-adjusted z-score calculator based on the UDSNB 3.0 neuropsychological battery. These z-scores are calculated using regression-based normative data, allowing for interpretation of individual test scores in the context of demographic variables such as age, sex, education, and race/ethnicity.
The calculator supports both EAS and NACC norms, enabling researchers and clinicians to select or compare different normative frameworks. Adjusted scores are particularly useful for detecting cognitive impairment while accounting for demographic variability.
This documentation includes:
- An overview of the z-score calculation formula
- Examples using MOCA and MINT test scores
- Instructions for using the provided R package, SAS macros, and online calculator
- Links to download scoring spreadsheets and additional resources
