Types of Data Releases

It is important to clarify the various types of data release procedures that the Einstein Aging Study uses.

Internal Releases

Overview: The EAS TDM Core releases datasets as needed to support analyses of grant aims from the P01 and rapid dissemination of results.

Frequency: As needed for various professional meetings, conferences, and advisory board meetings.

Usage Notes: Data are prepared and checked for basic quality control issues. This is not an external release and as such, to balance the frequency of these releases, with the urgency sometimes needed, these data ALWAYS need to be manually inspected before usage.

External Releases

Overview: The EAS TDM Core releases a set of datasets to support analyses of grant aims, for the P01 and also any auxillary projects (e.g., R01s, R03s, etc).

Frequency: About once a year

Usage Notes: This data is only shared with active investigators on the P01 or auxillary grants. This data is not to be shared with any other data user that is not presently covered by an institutional agreement between Albert Einstein College of Medicine (the prime site for the P01).

Bespoke Releases

Overview: The EAS TDM Core releases datasets upon approval of a concept proposal for a reasoanable, non-overlapping usage of our data.

Frequency: After an executed Data Use Agreement.

Usage Notes: This data is only shared with active investigators on the P01 or auxillary grants. This data is not to be shared with any other data user that is not presently covered by an institutional agreement between Albert Einstein College of Medicine (the prime site for the P01).
