Data Inventory

This chart is an overview of all data streams that the EAS has available for researchers, and the date range that data is available for (note, some streams will not overlap). This chart is a good overview tool for researchers looking to familiarize with what data is available while developing their concept proposal submission. More specific details on what measures and variables each stream contains can be found in the Variables and Measures Dictionary and Narrative Codebook.

Physical Activity & Sedentary Behavior

2023 - Present

This dataset contains data on physical activity and sedentary behavior collected with the activPAL4 micro monitor. The activPAL data provide objective measures of physical activity and sedentary behavior using an accelerometer that distinguishes between sitting, standing, stepping, and other movement states. Data include step counts, cadence, time spent in different activity states, and sit-to-stand transitions, supporting research on mobility, daily activity patterns, and health outcomes.

Air Quality

2023 - Present

This dataset contains personal air quality data collected with the Atmotube Pro. The Atmotube is a portable air quality monitor worn by participants to measure personal environmental exposure in real time. It records levels of airborne pollutants (e.g., volatile organic compounds and particulate matter), as well as temperature and humidity. These measurements allow researchers to study how real-world environmental exposures relate to health, cognition, and daily behavior.

Glucose Monitoring

2023 - Present

This dataset contains glucose data collected using the Abbott Libre 3 CGM system. The Libre 3 sensor is worn on the back of the upper arm and continuously measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid. Measurements are automatically recorded approximately every 5 minutes and transmitted to a paired mobile device. It provides high-frequency glucose data that enables researchers to examine real-time glycemic patterns and variability in relation to behavior, cognition, and emotional processes in daily life.
